Update Resource Directory: There is a free mobile and web app that empowers people experiencing resource insecurity to find and connect to free programs providing food, shelter, healthcare, legal aid, crisis support, hygiene facilities and more. Use your internet searching talents to ensure the app has the most updated information. Training will be provided!

Hamentaschen Bake: Join us at a PJ Library event for little ones! We will prepare ingredients and help small children to mix and shape their dough into hamentaschen. Although this event takes place after Purim (to avoid scheduling conflicts), it helps children to connect and learn more about the holiday. Small children look up to teens and your participation would make this event extra special!

THURSDAY, MARCH 16
Food Resources Data Verification: During the pandemic, countless families faced unprecedented circumstances that caused limited access to basic needs like food and shelter. Help build the most comprehensive collection of food resources in the country. Volunteers will research and make calls to ensure the database is updated. This will help the national USDA Hunger Hotline connect those in need with resources. Training provided!

Mitzvah Day: Teens needed to help with the following projects throughout the morning:
Basketball Games: Volunteers needed to help run basketball-style games that raise money for charity.
Spring Bags: Make snack bags to be delivered to seniors at assisted living centers.
Cookies for a Cause: Make and decorate cookies to donate to families in need. Please consider bringing one of the following kosher (and nut-free) items: sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, decorating pens

SUNDAY, MARCH 19
Religious Book Burial: Jewish texts and prayerbooks containing G-d's name are considered holy and must be disposed of with care and respect. Join us as we help to transport items from cars to the burial site and bury the items.
Location: Carteret Hebrew Fraternity Cemetery, Corner of New Brunswick & Oregon Aves, Fords
