As a volunteer, you will be matched with a local Shop and Drop Recipient within a 5-mile radius. After you receive your recipient's list and agree upon day, time and repayment method, you will  shop and drop off their items right to their front door. You will then be reimbursed by your recipient in the full amount. Helping a local community member is that easy!

As a Shop & Drop Volunteer you:

  • are not in a vulnerable age group, are healthy, have not been traveling, and have not had any signs of illness in the past 14 days. If you become sick, please do not accept any requests.
  • agree to pay for goods upfront and be reimbursed directly by your matched shopping recipient. A payment method (Venmo, PayPal, cash, check, etc.) should be established and agreed upon by both parties. When the shopping trip is complete, you will alert your recipient with an estimated delivery time and total amount spent. When you drop off the goods, you will  be reimbursed.
  • should take a photo of the receipt and completed delivery to share with Jewish Federation, in case there is a need to intervene and pay for goods.
  • agree that Federation will share your contact information with your assigned shopping recipient, so you can reach out with questions, changes or updates to their order.
  • will reach out to your recipient during the shopping trip, to ask any questions that may arise while you shop (i.e.  brand, product or availability, etc.)
  • should alert Federation via email ([email protected]) when the Shop & Drop transaction is complete.
